Delete account and data

You can delete your Glimt account and all data linked to it at any time. This cannot be undone.
Delete in the app (fastest)
- Open Glimt and go to Settings (the bear logo at the top-left of the camera).
- Scroll down to Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted immediately.
Request deletion without the app
If you can't access the app, email paal@dynni.no from the address your account is registered with, with the subject "Delete my Glimt account". We'll delete the account within 30 days and confirm when it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your account (email, username, avatar, date of birth).
- Your friends and bål memberships.
- All glimt and vekeglimt (these are ephemeral and end-to-end encrypted anyway).
- The sealed backup of your encryption key, if you made one.
- Your push token and settings.
Reports with their evidence may be retained as long as needed to meet legal safety obligations, then deleted.
