I god tid — Privacy
Last updated: 5 November 2026
I god tid is a calendar app for iPhone that shows when to leave for each event and how long the trip takes. It is made by Pål Omland Eilevstjønn (DYNNI). In short: everything stays on your iPhone. I have no server, no account system, no analytics and no ads, so I never see your calendar, your location or anything else about you.
Your calendar
I god tid reads and writes the calendars on your iPhone through Apple's calendar access, which you grant. Your events stay in your own calendars (iCloud, Google or whatever you already use). The app does not copy them anywhere else.
Your location
With your permission, I god tid uses your location to work out when you need to leave and what the weather is. Your location is used on your iPhone. To get a travel time or a forecast, the app sends a starting point and a destination, or a single place, to the services below. It sends nothing else about you: no name, no calendar and no device identifier.
- Entur, Norway's journey planner, gives public transport times and finds places.
- Apple Maps gives driving times and opens directions.
- Statens vegvesen gives road conditions and roadworks on your route.
- MET Norway (yr) gives the weather forecast.
Each service handles requests under its own privacy policy. I god tid does not store what it sends.
Quick add
When you type an event, such as "Dentist Tuesday at 2", it is read on your iPhone. If your iPhone supports Apple Intelligence, the app may use Apple's on-device model to find the place. Nothing you type leaves your phone for this.
Notifications
Leave alerts are scheduled on your iPhone by iOS. No push server is involved.
Purchases
I god tid Pluss is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment, and I only learn from Apple that this iPhone owns Pluss. I never see your payment details.
Children
I god tid is not aimed at children and collects no data from anyone.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct and delete your data. Since I hold no data about you, there is nothing to export or delete on my side: delete the app and everything it stored is gone. You can complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you think data is handled wrongly.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
